You can browse my photos and if you'd like to learn a little about me and the services I provide.

Hi! If you're looking for a newborn photographer in Frederick, Maryland that offers superior customer service you found her!

I offer gorgeous gowns for my maternity clients, customized newborn sessions to meet your preferences, and creatively beautiful cake smash photo shoots for your sweet little babies!

Please know - I only take on a few photo shoots each month. I am NOT a high volume photographer. I like to get to know each of my clients and make sure I'm giving them my full and utmost attention.

Thanks, You'll be added to our newsletter

I love to get your baby in the studio around two weeks of age. That way baby is still very sleepy, used to being curled up (from in the womb). If your baby comes early or late, totally fine - we will work around it and get you in as soon as possible.

When does the newborn session take place?

When should I schedule my newborn session?

It is best to schedule your newborn session in your second or third trimester. It's very hard to accommodate last minute requests. I only take 4 newborns per month, and after that I unfortunately have to say no.

How should I prepare my baby for the shoot?

I will send you a comprehensive newborn prep guide; however, you can look over this very simple checklist if you want a general idea. The newborn prep guide will go over how to prep baby as well!

What do I need to bring?

I only need you to bring diapers, wipes, and however you're feeding the baby. I provide all the props, backdrops, outfits, headbands, bonnets, etc. You can take a tour of my studio to see everything!

How long is a newborn photo shoot?

Newborn sessions almost always start at 9am and end by noon. This gives us plenty of time for feedings, changings, and soothing back to sleep. The entire three hours won't be for taking pictures. This allows plenty of time for all the time baby needs.

Where will the session take place?

My studio is located in Frederick, Maryland. If you would prefer a session in your home, I'm happy to travel to you for a "lifestyle" photo shoot. This is candid and will be in your home, not posed like my studio work.

Newborn photo shoot common questions

The newborn session fee is $200. You can read more about session fees and investment, and then contact me for my full pricing guide.

The Process

01

Step One:
Let's be friends!

Let's chat! I can't wait to hear about your growing family. I LOVE hearing about the nursery plans, if you're finding out the gender, name ideas, how you told your partner and family the exciting news, etc. Seriously I love hearing about all this stuff! And often, I'm able to capture and portray some of it into the sessions! I'll also go over the photo shoot experience from start to finish. After getting to know you, we'll know if I'm the right photographer for you, and we'll move onto the booking process...

Step two:
Save the date

Woo hoo! We were made for each other! Now, I email you the booking proposal. It will secure your date(s) for your photo shoot(s) and guarantee that I'm your girl [photographer]! I'll email you an invoice for the session fee and contract. This just states what you're paying for and what type of photo shoot you're receiving. You can review the packages I offer, but you don't need to pick them out until later after you see your gorgeous images!! Time to start planning!

Step Three:
The Maternity Shoot

Let me make you feel like a million bucks! You'll pick out 2-3 of my maternity gowns (check them out here) and we'll create some magic for a gorgeous sunset photo shoot! I'll send you all my favorite locations (you can see some here but you'll get an extensive list with more photos and descriptions once booked). I'll help you out with all the posing, what do you with your hands, where to look, etc! Don't worry! Even if you think you're "not photogenic" PUH-LEASE! Or your partner doesn't know what to do - don't worry! I promise to help you.

Step Four:
Seeing your photos

Here's the beautiful part! We get back together after the photo shoot and I'll show you all your amazing photos. I'll make your jaw drop and you'll be amazed at how insanely beautiful your growing family is! Since you already saw my packages before booking, you'll have an idea of what you want to purchase, but I'm happy to help out. If you live in Frederick I'll come to your home, if you're outside of Frederick we'll meet at my favorite local coffee shop to go over all the images. This part is SO fun!!

Step Five:
Plan the newborn photos

I will email you a questionnaire that asks you information about your baby and how you'd like the photos to look! That way the photo shoot is all about YOU and YOUR FAMILY, not just whatever props and colors I want to do. I'll ask color, prop, and pose preferences (all with photos so you know what I'm talking about). I'll ask who's coming to the photo shoot and if you'd like family photos (PLEASE say yes!! These are my favorite), and everything is totally flexible. If you get to my studio and see something you love - we can change it up!

Step Six:
The newborn photo shoot

Your baby is here!!! Congrats! I cannot wait to snuggle him or her! We'll pick a weekend morning for you to come over and do the newborn session. Newborn sessions begin at 9am and end by 12 noon. Babies are happiest and snuggliest in the mornings. I'll have the studio set up for you guys so we can get started as soon as you get there. And you can sit back, watch Netflix or Amazon (or Disney+ if that's your thang!) and I'll do all the hard work!

Step Seven:
See your photos (again!)

We'll get back together after the newborn session and this time I'm pretty sure you'll cry (in a good way... and don't worry, sometimes I do too!). Just like the maternity ordering session you can pick a package or go a la carte. I'll start sending you proofs for your album so you can have final say of what goes where and how big photos are on the pages. Then I'll order everything and email you digital images! We'll hug and I'll squeeze the baby one more time, and then we'll probably start planning the one year cake smash photo shoot
