Let's celebrate your amazing baby! Time FLIES once a baby enters your world. Quickly your life is measured by your baby's age, development, and milestones. So let's make sure to document them. Once booked, we'll come up with a theme that means something to you and I'll do all the shopping for the props and outfits. Your session includes all the backdrop, props, outfit, and cake (unless there are known allergies, then we will discuss). You can view this blog post where I documented tons of cake smashes I've done over the years to get an idea of what they look like. Please note: you do NOT have to pick one that is already done. It's just a sampling of what I've done!

These sessions begin with a few family photos, then we'll do some photos of just baby with a simple backdrop, outfit, and props. Then we'll get the theme out and have some fun with cake!
I typically book photoshoots 2-3 months in advance. So it's best to contact me early, especially if we are picking an elaborate theme.
When should I schedule a cake smash?
How many set ups does the photo shoot include?
I always start with a few quick family photos, then we'll get started on the baby. Before the cake smash theme I'll do a few neutral backdrops and cute outfits, then finally we'll get baby with the theme. If there's time we can do some in a cute bath tub too!
What do I need to bring?
Water for baby to drink in between bites of cake, maybe a small snack (that won't dye his/her face) before we pull the snack out, and plenty of wipes. I have tons of cute outfits, props, and backdrops!
Do I get a custom theme?
I have done tons of cake smashes, but I'm always up for new ideas too. Here is a link that shows tons of cake smash ideas, but you do NOT have to pick from those. I do not typically pick character/brand themes.
How should I prepare my baby?
Let your baby have some cupcakes (the little ones the grocery store makes are perfect) ahead of time. Let them play and get messy without wiping their hands. Make sure they've been introduced to something sweet as well.
How old should my baby be?
Cake smash photo shoots are typically done for one year old babies. I like to schedule them within a month or so before they turn one, but really anytime a month before or after is great!
