Your sweet new baby has arrived, and you cannot stop taking pictures of them. Those phone photos can be sweet and amazing, but allow me to pose your baby for a professional photo shoot, and you'll be amazed at what I can do. NOT self-taught, I've been trained by some of the leading newborn photographers in the United States, and am also trained in newborn safety. Colorful backdrops and set ups that will allow your baby to be the showcase in the photos, sweet little props that have them lay snuggled up so sweetly, that's what my photo shoots are all about. You can sit back, relax, watch tv, or take a nap. Read below to find out more detailed information.
A professional studio stocked with hand made props, backdrops, and outfits. I offer more than your phone can do. Photos that you will cherish forever.
I love to get your baby in the studio around two weeks of age. That way baby is still very sleepy, used to being curled up (from in the womb). If your baby comes early or late, totally fine - we will work around it and get you in as soon as possible.
It is best to schedule your newborn session in your second or third trimester. It's very hard to accommodate last minute requests. I only take 4 newborns per month, and after that I unfortunately have to say no.
I will send you a comprehensive newborn prep guide; however, you can look over this very simple checklist if you want a general idea.
Literally I only need you to bring diapers, wipes, and however you're feeding the baby. I provide all the props, backdrops, outfits, headbands, bonnets, etc. You can take a tour of my studio to see everything!
Newborn sessions almost always start at 9am and end by noon. This gives us plenty of time for feedings, changings, and soothing back to sleep. The entire three hours won't be for taking pictures. This allows plenty of time for all the time baby needs.
My studio is located in Frederick, Maryland. If you would prefer a session in your home, I'm happy to travel to you for a "lifestyle" photo shoot. This is candid and will be in your home, not posed like my studio work.
